Choosing Between a VPS and Shared Hosting for Your Business Website

VPS vs Shared Hosting
Shared hosting is cheap and fine for a mostly-static company website. The moment you add a database-backed app, background jobs, or need predictable performance, a VPS starts to pay for itself.
A simple rule of thumb
If your app needs anything beyond PHP + MySQL running behind cPanel, or if uptime directly affects revenue, budget for a VPS. If it's a marketing site with occasional traffic, shared hosting is a reasonable place to start.
What we recommend by default
We generally start clients on shared/cPanel hosting for the public site and move database-heavy or high-traffic workloads to a VPS once the business case is clear — no need to over-provision on day one.
